Kaleb Williams of Bloom Township HS is the March Athlete of the Month for his double performance at the 3/17 Armer Invitational… Kaleb posted the fastest 400 meter in the state with a time of 49.78. Later that day, Kaleb also ran the 200 meter in 22.53 for the 3rd fastest time in the State.
Japheth Cato
High School & Collegiate All-American
Former high school and collegiate distance runner, Kristine Wendt, recently joined the Winged Foot Foundation Racing Team.
One September 5th, Kristine competed at the Oak Brook Half Marathon running the 13.1 mile course in 1:38:00 and placed 5th in her age group. Congratulations Kristine and thanks for representing the WFF!!!
The WFF’s March Athlete of the Month is Claire Kieger of Whitney Young. Claire ran 25.13 in the 200 meter and a leg of their 4th place 4x200 at the 3/24 IPIT Classic. Claire’s 200 meter time is the 4th fastest time in the state.
The Bloom Township HS All-State athlete had great expectations when he agreed to compete for the University of Wisconsin. Cato, now a Wisconsin Sophomore, is realizing his dreams. Cato earned All-America honors by placing 2nd in the heptathlon at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships on March 10th.
